What kinds of sessions does WITS offer? What are the tracks?
Sessions are offered at beginner and advanced levels and will be broken up into multiple tracks. Click here to view last year’s North America schedule and see the kinds of sessions we offer at WITS. Your ticket entitles you to attend any session at any level.
Who should come to WITS? Do I have to be a woman to attend?
Anyone who works in the travel space is more than welcome to come. You do not have to be a woman to attend, though our programming and all related activities will be focused on women in travel. At WITS you’ll find bloggers, Instagrammers, journalists, travelers, writers, creators, PR/brand representatives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, business developers, coders, videographers and photographers, teachers, and more. At WITS, we are firmly committed to diversity, intersectionality, and inclusion. We aim to make our events inclusive for attendees of any ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, expression, age, or ability. If you have a suggestion for how we can better accommodate you, we’d genuinely love to hear from you.
How can I get involved with WITS?
There are a few ways you can get involved: purchase a ticket, get your company or brand to sponsor or exhibit, or volunteer with us (sign up for our newsletter to find out when volunteer opportunities open).
What does a ticket to WITS get me?
Your ticket grants you access to any session you’d like to attend, entry to all of our official parties and events, pre- and-post WITS tours and trips, meals, and coffee breaks, plus the opportunity to network with amazing influencers and brands, the chance to snag a ticket for some special city tours and events happening over the weekend, and a ton of free swag.
Which type of ticket should I buy?
Industry tickets are for empowered travel professionals and representatives from travel companies. Media tickets are available at a discount for influencers who will be covering WITS on social media and their websites during the summit. We have a limited number of press tickets available for journalists who will be covering WITS in major news publications. If you’d like to inquire about a press ticket, please contact us. You must be able to show proof of employment in order to qualify for a press ticket (Note: Having a blog is not proof of employment).
What is your ticket refund/cancellation/transfer policy?
“Flash Sale” and “Early Bird” tickets to WITS Europe purchased BEFORE July 10, 2019 may be transferred to another individual NO MORE THAN ONE TIME and ONLY UNTIL October 1, 2019, after which time these tickets are non-transferrable. Ticket transfers may only be requested by completing this form. All regular tickets are non-transferrable. WITS and Wanderful are unable to process ticket transfer payments. Individuals buying or selling a ticket must coordinate any transfer of funds individually. WITS and Wanderful cannot offer ticket refunds or cancellations at this time. However, for individuals who have purchased a ticket but then are selected to either speak or volunteer, the purchased ticket will be refunded. Tickets to WITS Europe cannot be used at or transferred to WITS North America, or vice versa.
I can’t afford a ticket. What should I do?
A limited number of volunteers will be offered free tickets to WITS in exchange for their service at the event. Sign up for our newsletter to find out when applications open.
I don’t have a credit card/You don’t accept my credit card. Can I still come?

How do I get to Riga?
All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to attend WITS. We do not have a group travel plan or rate.
Riga is a well-connected city with many transportation options, including: Flying direct into Riga International Airport and then taking a bus (approx. 30 minutes) or taxi/rideshare (under 20 minutes) into the city center; taking the train to Riga Central Station and then walking or taking a bus to the hotel (approx. 7 minutes for both options); or taking any of the other number of bus, train, and even ferry options available.
When should I arrive to Riga?
Official WITS activities begin on the evening of Friday, November 8th and will last through the afternoon of Sunday, November 10th. Pre- and post-conference tours and trips will begin a few days before the 8th and end a few days after the 10th. We’ll announce more information about these in summer/fall 2019. If you wish to book your travel before we release tour dates to save on cost, we recommend coming into town one to three days before the conference officially begins and/or staying one to three days after it ends so that you can join us on tours and maximize your time sightseeing in the area before or after you’re stuck in the hotel all day.
Will I need a car?
Probably not. Riga is a very walkable city, and the Radisson Blu Latvija, our host hotel, is conveniently located in the city center, just a quick walk away from attractions and public transportation. Cabs, rideshare services, and busses are also available from the airport and train station (as well as throughout the city). Additionally, any tours or official events (like our opening party) that stray far from the hotel will have transportation provided.
How can I or my company sponsor WITS?
