A little about us.
WITS is the premier event for travel's top marketing talent. Creative entrepreneurs, influencers, DMOs, and industry come together to discuss future innovations, build dynamic collaborations, and change travel worldwide, all while supporting and empowering a dynamic community of women and gender diverse people.
Wanderful, our parent company, is a global lifestyle brand and community of travelers and creators. We work to build a more equitable travel industry by challenging the status quo and centering the voices of those who are too often erased from the dominant narrative. WITS began in 2014 as the Women in Travel Summit, and was created in direct response to the lack of gender diversity in the industry. We aimed to design a space for open opportunity, learning, and empowerment.
Today, WITS is an international event series for all marginalized people in travel. At WITS, attendees learn skills to strengthen their work and grow their brands, and companies make powerful connections with builders who are the voices and gatekeepers for consumers. Every event brings together hundreds of attendees — each with an average reach of 100k followers, and dozens of brands — from international travel corporations to small emerging businesses and startups.
Respect and dignity are core tenets of our philosophy — for ourselves, our communities, and all people worldwide. WITS welcomes people of all backgrounds, races, nationalities, religions, ages, abilities, body sizes, sexual orientations, and genders. We use an inclusive definition of gender that encompasses trans and cis women, nonbinary people, and all others along the gender spectrum.
Today, to recognize how we, our industry, and the world have adapted and grown since our first event, we simply call ourselves WITS.
