A little about us.
WITS is the largest gathering of women travel creators in the world and the premier event for travel’s top marketing talent. Creators, influencers, destinations, and brands come together to explore what’s next in travel, build meaningful partnerships, and strengthen a global community of women and gender-diverse leaders.
WITS is produced by Wanderful, an international community of women travelers, travel content creators, and entrepreneurs. Founded in 2014 as the Women in Travel Summit, WITS emerged at a moment when women were rapidly building travel blogs and digital platforms — laying the groundwork for today’s creator economy.
As the industry evolved, so did we. Women drive the majority of travel decisions and represent a significant share of travel creators, yet compensation gaps persist in the creator economy and leadership across travel does not fully reflect the people shaping demand and culture. These imbalances influence whose stories are amplified, whose expertise is valued, and who holds power in the industry. WITS exists to expand access, opportunity, and influence — creating space for more voices to lead.
At WITS, creators gain the skills, relationships, and direct industry access needed to build sustainable businesses. Brands and destinations connect with trusted storytellers who shape consumer behavior and cultural narratives. Each event convenes hundreds of attendees — many with audiences exceeding 100,000 — alongside partners ranging from global travel corporations to emerging startups.
Grounded in respect, dignity, and inclusion, WITS welcomes people of all backgrounds, races, nationalities, religions, ages, abilities, body sizes, sexual orientations, and genders. We use an expansive definition of gender that includes cis and trans women, nonbinary people, and others across the gender spectrum.
Today, we simply call ourselves WITS — reflecting how our community and our industry have evolved.
Our Mission
The WITS Creator Summit exists to help women travel creators build sustainable businesses and real influence in an industry that too often leaves us out.
Through in-person education, intentional networking, and direct industry access, WITS equips creators with the tools, relationships, and support needed to grow professionally—while helping brands and destinations form lasting, values-aligned partnerships with the creators shaping travel today.
Our Purpose
WITS exists because talent alone isn’t enough in an unequal industry.
Women are the primary drivers of travel decisions and consumer trust—and the majority of creators shaping how people discover the world—yet they continue to face pay gaps, limited access, and undervaluation. Growth requires access, confidence, and relationships, and those are built best in person.
