Introducing the Men in Travel Summit (MITS).

April Fools!

We’re not launching a men-focused travel summit.

But if you paused for a second and thought, “Wait… isn’t the industry already built for men?”— that’s exactly why this matters.

Why Women’s Spaces Exist

Wanderful—and spaces like WITS—exist because equity doesn’t happen by accident.

Even though:

  • Women make 85% of travel decisions

  • Women are a driving force behind the travel economy

They are still:

  • Underrepresented in leadership

  • Paid less

  • Funded less

  • Featured less in media and on stages

Women and gender-diverse people have not historically had equal access to visibility, opportunity, or community.

That’s why spaces like WITS exist.

Not to exclude—but to correct imbalance.

Why This Isn’t About Exclusion

Creating spaces for women and marginalized genders isn’t about shutting men out.

It’s about making sure the people who have been overlooked finally have room to be seen, heard, supported and celebrated.

So Where Do Men Fit In?

As allies.

And allyship isn’t passive—it’s active.

It looks like:

  • Listening to women’s experiences without dismissing them

  • Advocating for equity in your workplace

  • Recommending women for speaking opportunities

  • Supporting businesses led by women and marginalized genders

  • Showing up in spaces like WITS with curiosity and respect

Want to support a more equitable travel industry?

And by the way:
